Or the thought of dress shopping just isn’t for them or it’s always been the thing they’ve wanted to have their special dress made perfectly for them first time with no hidden costs, unique to them, a treasure to keep whilst supporting a small business within the UK.

It really doesn’t have to be out of your budget either. Most dresses range from £1200-2000 and all payments are spread over the year in 3 equal amounts to make it much more manageable than say purchasing a dress there and then in a store. I really don’t make a big profit from bespoke work, I do it more for the love. To create a sketch together and bring it to life and watch you wed in your unique dress is my little girl’s dream. I love working with every client i’ve met over the years and we form a lovely bond over the time together. Of course it’s a trust process for you I’m sure, but please do take a look at my previous makes below and each one different to suit the bride. Never a repeat. I'm not a copycat bride but I don’t call myself a designer either. I like to think you’ve had as much input to your design as myself. Then you leave me to guide you with the fabrics and I’ll make your pattern and dress come to life. It’s a lovely relaxed journey.

We’ll sit together and design together your likes onto paper and I’ll help guide you through the process of choosing the perfect fabrics to make it work. I’ll then process a quotation for you based on this. You’ll have time, never pressured, to decide to go ahead. Although I can only accommodate one bespoke gown per month so it’s first come first served basis.

If you decided to have your dream dress made by me I’ll then take your measurements and start making your paper pattern to the agreed design. Next a toile which is mock up of your dress into calico. This will allow you to try on your dress in a cheap fabric to really see it’s look on you which we’ll do soon after getting the go ahead. This allows you to really see the block basis of your design on your body and at this point you’ll have the opportunity to change your mind or tweak your design to suit you if you wish as it’s still early days in. You may feel at that point you’d like a different shape neckline or a less full skirt. Once happy with your toile I’ll alter your paper pattern and then commence the making of your dress into your chosen fabrics at around 6 months to go. I mostly work with silk and of the highest quality, all ethically sourced UK suppliers too.

You’ll attend here around 4 times throughout the year up to collection of your dress. First the measurement taking, second the toile fitting, third your first dress fitting, finally your collection dress fitting. Sometimes this may require you to attend another session to work with any dress needs for the perfect fit. We aim to conclude exactly 1 month before your wedding. Collection is agreed and you’ll take your new bespoke gown away in one of my breatheable branded gown covers. Steaming service included.
